Shih-Tzu-Pomeranian Mix Explains Why He’s Not ‘Very Demure’ and It’s Adorable

One of things that has been blowing up on social media recently is the 'very demure, very mindful' trend. People can't get enough of it and have even started including their animals as well. Miller is a 'Shiranian' (a Shih-Tzu and Pomeranian mixed breed) dog whose mom shared a video at the end of August to show us all that he's pretty much the opposite of very demure. He may not be demure or mindful, but he's absolutely adorable!

Throughout the video, Miller shows us all the reasons why he's not demure. In fact, his paw-rents go so far as to call him a menace! He also explains why he's always in 'arm jail' and it cracked me up! Check out his adorable little chompers - those alone will make your day! Listen to Miller until the end of the video and what he has to say about his mom; none of this is his fault!

Miller says that even though he might stress his mom out and get into some trouble all day long, it's actually just his mom being dramatic about it all! Sounds like something my kids would say! Like me, commenter @Nikki Connor got a kick out of 'arm jail', something all dogs have been put into once or twice before, "Not arm jail LOL!" @Moni doesn't care that Miller isn't demure or mindful, "Oh what a cutie!!!! The way I would find a way to blame everything on everyone else because in my eyes, this floof could do no wrong."

Do Shiranians Make Good Pets?

Other commenters commented on Miller's adorableness and wanted to know what kind of dog he is. I've never heard of this mixed breed between a Shih-Tzu and a Pomeranian but agree that the mix makes for one cute little dog!

Shiranians were first bred in the U.S. in the 1980s. These small, lively, and friendly dogs make great pets for people looking for a small and loving companion. AllPaws.com describes them as the perfect mix of both breeds, "making it a perfect companion for singles, families, and seniors alike."

When I say that Shiranians are small dogs, I mean small! They typically stand at 7 to 12 inches tall and weigh between 4 to 16 pounds. Because of their size they can live just about anywhere, from apartments to houses, with or without yards. But because they are so small, they may not be an ideal pet for toddlers and very young children who may accidentally step on them or try playing with them too roughly, which can cause injury. They have a moderate energy level and enjoy being active as well as hanging out on the couch. They love to play, and like most dogs, look forward to a daily walk or two.

When you look at these dogs, you'll notice how fluffy and full their coats are. Their coats are also quite dense and require regular grooming and daily brushing to maintain their coat’s soft, full appearance and minimize shedding.

Anytime you're considering bringing home a new dog, it's so important to do your research first to learn the good, the bad, and the ugly about the breed. A dog may be cute, but they may have needs or possess traits that may or may not suit your family's lifestyle. To avoid an unhappy dog (or family!) read up on them and learn all you can about them to make sure you know what you're really getting into before bringing the dog home.
