Skins favourite Luke Pasqualino harbours dreams of becoming a Formula One driver.

Known to a generation of TV lovers for playing teen pothead Freddie McClair, before spreading his wings on The Three Musketeers, Our Girl and Netflix's Shadow and Bone, Pasqualino recently caught up with Metro, where the subject of his Instagram bio was put to him.

It reads: "Full time Human. Part time Actor. Wannabe Formula 1 driver."

He told the publication: "I know it's one of those things that would never happen – whether it's because I'm over six foot or because I haven't started from a young age, but I absolutely love the strategic element of Formula One.

"I love the quality of engineering, I love the skills that the drivers need to have, I love the tracks, I love the cars. To be a Formula One driver if I wasn't an actor would be the absolute dream."

Pasqualino will be overjoyed to hear of Brad Pitt's next Hollywood project, then, which sees the Oscar-winning megastar teaming up with racer Lewis Hamilton.

Directed by Top Gun: Maverick's Joseph Kosinski, the currently untitled movie features Pitt's veteran of the circuit helping out a rookie in his plight to challenge the giants of the sport.

Hamilton himself teased at the F1 Accelerate Summit in Miami last month: "Joe's focus is to make us as embedded in this sport as possible. For me it's to make sure it's authentic, and that all of you and racing fans see its authenticity and say 'this is believable', and have a view of racing from a different perspective than you might see on TV."

He's onboard as a script consultant.
