Snoop Dogg's Olympics Play-By-Play For NBC Is Pure Gold

Rap star Snoop Dogg’s Olympics commentary for NBC is already going viral for all the right reasons.

In a 26-second clip that NBC shared online Sunday, Snoop enthusiastically analyzed Team USA’s badminton clash with China. But after initially noting the names of the countries competing, it became more of a stream of consciousness of what was going down on the court.

“As you see it don’t stop till the casket drop. They rocking and rolling, back and forth. Give me that, no I need that. No, over here, no, over there, what about over there?” the rapper began in the clip NBC Sports posted with the note “This will be the best thing you watch all day.”

And while the particular snippet of Snoop that was shared by NBC contained little actual analysis of the sport, viewers were clearly excited by his passion for the proceedings.

“It’s amazing how everything Snoop touches somehow becomes more enjoyable. I mean, how does that even work? I don’t know, but it does,” wrote one social media commenter.

Another described Snoop’s play-by-play as “Olympic gold” and several suggested NBC should get him on its permanent payroll.

Snoop’s response to a spectacular vault by U.S. gymnast Simone Biles has also gone viral during the games:
