Denmark vs England - LIVE!

England missed out on the chance to seal top spot in Group C with a match to spare as they drew 1-1 with Denmark in Frankfurt. It was a familiar story from Gareth Southgate’s side, who do still sit top of the group with four points from their opening two games. They took an early lead as Harry Kane turned home from close range, but then sat back and allowed their opponents to take charge.

Denmark increasingly pinned England back, enjoying real success against a struggling midfield, and they levelled it up before the break, when Morten Hjulmand fired a brilliant effort in off the post from 25 yards out. England improved slightly in the second-half, but not enough to stop Southgate bringing off Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden, who had hit the post from the edge of the area, with 20 minutes remaining.

Ollie Watkins was one of those introduced and had a swift impact, making a sharp run in behind as his effort from Kasper Schmeichel was smothered, but the sloppiness continued from England. They were repeatedly caught on the ball, with Marc Guehi forced into a last-ditch challenge after losing it himself, before Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg whipped an effort just wide as England again played themselves into trouble. They now have work to do against Slovenia in their final group-stage match.

Gareth Southgate was never likely to abandon his experiment with Trent Alexander-Arnold in midfield after one game, particularly a win, but how about two?

Does the manager now have a big enough sample size to rethink after an alarmingly loose England performance in a 1-1 with Denmark here in Frankfurt?

In a ragged and all-too-familiar display, Southgate’s side were out-passed by Denmark, who deservedly fought back from Harry Kane’s 64th goal in an England shirt to equalise through Mortem Hjulmand’s screamer before the interval.

Post-match thoughts from Harry Kane

19:26 , Matt Verri

"We've got levels we can reach and we can be better both with and without the ball.

“I think the sign of a good team is when you're not playing at your best and still find a way to get results like we have in the last two games.

"We're top of the group. We know we can improve. I know there will probably loads of noise and a bit of disappointment back home but we experienced this in the last Euros as well when we drew to Scotland.”

Forgettable display from England...

19:20 , Matt Verri

That midfield really is a problem for England.

Have to imagine changes will be made for the next match...

Player ratings

19:04 , Matt Verri

Trent Alexander-Arnold 4

A tough evening. Loose in possession and his lack of experience in midfield told with some dreadful positioning off the ball. Far too deep. Time up on the experiment?

Declan Rice 5

Like Alexander-Arnold, played on top of his centre-backs when England needed someone to step out. Still effective in breaking up the play but far from flawless with the ball.

For the xG fans among you...

18:58 , Matt Verri

It wasn’t great, basically.

Plenty of teams have been entertaining to watch at Euro 2024, regardless of their results.

England not one of them. Two matches, two fairly dull performances.

FT: Denmark 1-1 England

18:53 , Matt Verri

And that’s full-time in Frankfurt.

England so poor, sloppy on the ball and not much better out of possession.

Denmark probably the better side.

Still, England top of Group C and remain in control ahead of the Slovenia match.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:52 , Matt Verri

90+2 mins: More mistakes from both sides, before Trippier earns a cheap free-kick.

England happy to slow it down - they’re settling for what they have.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:50 , Matt Verri

90 mins: Three minutes added on.

The way this is going, England would do well to just take this point and move on.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:48 , Matt Verri

88 mins: England are starting to press up a bit higher... it’s taken long enough.

Free-kick won near enough by the halfway line, and Pickford is up to ping this into the box himself.

Or not, short to Walker and he sends it sailing out for a goal-kick.

File under ‘sums it up’.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:44 , Matt Verri

85 mins: Hojbjerg... just wide!

His 3000th effort of the match, this one the best of the lot.

England so poor on the ball, robbed again and Hojbjerg whips a strike just wide. Pickford din’t move.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:43 , Matt Verri

84 mins: Denmark are in, as Guehi is caught on the ball and Bah charges free.

But it’s sensational from Guehi to get back and slide in, turning it behind for a corner. Made up for that disastrous mistake.

Big chance from the corner - Christensen over from close range!

Denmark 1-1 England

18:42 , Matt Verri

82 mins: Watkins has definitely had a positive impact since coming on. He’s just moving more than Kane was.

Reminder that if it stays level, England will be top of Group C heading into the final round of fixtures, but would still have work to do against Slovenia.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:40 , Matt Verri

80 mins: Eze very lucky, Denmark breaking with numbers after he loses the ball but the whistle goes.

Not sure that was a foul, but England are very grateful.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:37 , Matt Verri

78 mins: Hojgard has an incredible opinion of his ability to shoot from long range.

He must be about 35 yards out this time, again he goes for it. Takes a slight deflection and Pickford gathers.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:35 , Matt Verri

76 mins: Bowen briefly thinks he’s in, but the whistle then does go.

West Ham man with a little shove in the air - probably just about a foul.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:33 , Matt Verri

73 mins: Hojbjerg with another effort from distance, Pickford parries it away.

Both sets of players finding it so difficult to change direction on this pitch, the grass just gives way.

Bowen already limping, twisted his ankle on the pitch and then clattered by Maehle, who is booked.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:31 , Matt Verri

71 mins: Watkins nearly makes an instant impact!

It’s a great run in behind, Bellingham picks him out. Schmeichel out quickly to smother the shot.

Malik Ouzia at Waldstadion

18:29 , Matt Verri

Well, then. A whole new front-three with 20 minutes to go, all of them tournament debutants.

Gareth Southgate has spoken plenty about his finishers - can they get the job done?

Denmark 1-1 England

18:28 , Matt Verri

69 mins: Triple change for England. Badly needed.

Bowen, Eze and Watkins are on. Foden, Saka and Kane the three to make way.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:27 , Matt Verri

67 mins: Poulsen on, replacing Hojlund.

Eriksen takes the corner, eventually drops for Damsgaard and it’s a really good effort. Pickford comfortable enough in saving it.

Dan Kilpatrick at Waldstadion

18:26 , Matt Verri

Bellingham has been guilty of overplaying four or five times, and losing possession.

He looks like a player trying to do too much.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:26 , Matt Verri

66 mins: It’s turning into a really scrappy game.

Opportunities for both sides in transition, but the quality isn’t there.

And now Rice sends it straight behind for a corner. Look down at the pitch - got to find something to blame.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:23 , Matt Verri

63 mins: Rice loses the ball, chance for Denmark to make them pay.

Eriksen from distance, left-footed strike is sliced high and wide.

Malik Ouzia at Waldstadion

18:22 , Matt Verri

Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden are the two players trying to make things happen for England. It's been much more even in terms of territory since half-time.

Don't think Denmark will be thrilled with the way they've played since the interval, whereas Kasper Hjulmand would have been chuffed at half-time.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:22 , Matt Verri

62 mins: Gallagher a bit too keen to make an impression, late to the challenge and that’s a yellow card.

It’s not that bad that we need to praise a booking, but the desire to press was more like it.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:20 , Matt Verri

61 mins: Walker loses the ball in his own half, tries to win it back and bundles Hojbjerg to the floor. Free-kick Denmark.

Eriksen to take... and he smacks it into the one-man wall that is Saka. Not great.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:18 , Matt Verri

59 mins: Damsgaard and Bah on for Denmark, Wind and Kristiansen making way.

Kane swings a lovely ball out wide to Saka, who is isolated on that wing.

Drives into the area, onto his left foot and whips an effort beyond the far post. England definitely improving.

Dan Kilpatrick at Waldstadion

18:16 , Matt Verri

If there is a plus for Southgate so far, it is a much livelier performance from Foden, who was so close to scoring there.

He has found it much easier to drop into pockets of space centrally in this game and is hurting Denmark.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:15 , Matt Verri

56 mins: Bellingham with his first real driving run of the match, gets England forward. He’s not been involved at all so far.

Saka now inside to Foden, shot from the edge of the area... OFF THE POST!

Saka flying in on the rebound, can’t keep it down.

Malik Ouzia at Waldstadion

18:14 , Matt Verri

Alexander-Arnold tried to take a quick free-kick there, knowing his number was up.

You can tell from his body language that he knows it's not gone right for him today.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:13 , Matt Verri

54 mins: Southgate has seen enough.

Alexander-Arnold off, Gallagher on. Had to happen.

And that could well be the last time we see Alexander-Arnold in midfield this tournament.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:12 , Matt Verri

53 mins: Side-netting!

And that’s what Alexander-Arnold can do. Saka makes the run in behind, ball is pinged over the top by the Liverpool man.

Bouncing ball, awkward one for Saka but he loops a header over Schmeichel. Just wide of the empty net.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:10 , Matt Verri

51 mins: Chance for England to break, Alexander-Arnold driving into space.

England have numbers up, but the ball is behind Foden and they turn all the way back to the halfway line.

It’s soooooo slooooooooow.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:08 , Matt Verri

49 mins: England content to calm things down, knocking the ball around.

That is until Alexander-Arnold loses it, not for the first time.

Stones then hammers the ball straight out of play.

Denmark 1-1 England

18:06 , Matt Verri

47 mins: Well... it’s more of the same so far.

Denmark straight on the front foot, opening England up down the right.

Ball played back to Wind, shot blocked. Trippier then makes such a mess of a clearance that it loops up behind him for Pickford to catch.

Malik Ouzia at Waldstadion

18:05 , Matt Verri

Trent Alexander-Arnold makes it back out for the second-half.

How long do we reckon he's got to turn the narrative on its head?

Because a quick glance at my social media timeline suggests pretty much everyone on the planet bar Gareth Southgate is in agreement that it isn't working.

I was all for the experiment but I think we've seen enough.

Back underway!

18:04 , Matt Verri

Second-half is up and running in Frankfurt.

Kane's opener...

18:01 , Matt Verri

It wasn’t all bad.

England did take the lead, as the ball fell for Harry Kane and he made no mistake.

That, though, was pretty much as good as it got.

First-half stats

17:56 , Matt Verri

Denmark have had more possession, more shots, more shots on target, more corners... more threat.

Over to you, Gareth.

Have to think something will need to change, if not at half-time then fairly early in the second period.

Malik Ouzia at Waldstadion

17:54 , Matt Verri

England midfield not working. Huge gap between Rice and Trent-Alexander Arnold, who are on centre-backs' toes, and Bellingham, who can't get in the game.

Denmark bypassing them easily. Foden trying to get them playing.

Denmark level it up through Hjulmand

17:51 , Matt Verri

An understatement to say this goal was coming.

Denmark dominant after England took the lead and the equaliser felt inevitable.

Lovely finish, though!

HT: Denmark 1-1 England

17:49 , Matt Verri

And that is half-time.

England took the lead through Kane, but it was really poor after that.

Invited Denmark onto them and were punished. They’ve been second best for much of the half.

Southgate has plenty to ponder.

Denmark 1-1 England

17:47 , Matt Verri

45 mins: England moaning about a couple of decisions, as they keep getting caught on the ball. Referee isn’t to blame for what’s going on.

One minute added on. England badly need half-time.

Denmark 1-1 England

17:46 , Matt Verri

44 mins: England struggling to get out again.

So deep that Kane has to try and run it out, but he loses it and Denmark come again.

Hojbjerg then tries his luck from 30 yards out, straight at Pickford.

Malik Ouzia at Waldstadion

17:43 , Matt Verri

Brilliant bit of play from Foden there but then he has to slip that into Kane.

The decision to shoot smacks of a player who knows there's a narrative building about his lack of impact.

That said, he's really demanding the ball now and trying to get England playing.

Denmark 1-1 England

17:43 , Matt Verri

41 mins: Better from England, and from Foden.

Driving run, past the red shirts and gets a shot away from 25 yards out. Straight at Schmeichel.

Kane unhappy, he wanted to be played in, but it was much more like it from Foden.

Denmark 1-1 England

17:42 , Matt Verri

40 mins: Denmark playing with so much confidence, much the better team.

Maehle has the freedom of the right wing, but sends a cross slicing over the bar.

Denmark 1-1 England

17:40 , Matt Verri

39 mins: England need to wake up. Fast.

Denmark play through the midfield, Hjulmand again allowed a crazy amount of space. Shot is blocked this time. Corner.

Deep to the back post, Andersen loops a header onto the roof of the net.

Dan Kilpatrick at Waldstadion

17:39 , Matt Verri

That goal reminded me of Aurélien Tchouaméni's strike for France in England's World Cup quarter-final defeat to France.

It has been coming and is a consequence of the amount of space England have allowed Denmark in their half.

Denmark 1-1 England

17:38 , Matt Verri

36 mins: Now then... can England get on the front foot again?

Don’t think they’ve had an attack since that Kane goal. Familiar story.

Malik Ouzia at Waldstadion

17:37 , Matt Verri

That's been coming. Once again, England are so deep that there's space for that strike on the edge of the box.

Plenty to do, mind.

GOAL! Denmark 1-1 England | Morten Hjulmand 34'

17:36 , Matt Verri

DENMARK LEVEL!

Brilliant strike. He’s 25 yards out, maybe more, and he’s lashed a low shot into the bottom corner, off the inside of the post.

Dan Kilpatrick at Waldstadion

17:35 , Matt Verri

When England's centre-backs have the ball they're really having to work play through the lines and try and get up the pitch.

When Denmark get it, England are dropping so deep that they're halfway into the England half before anyone engages.

England look pretty solid from that point, but it means most of the game is being played in their half.

Denmark 0-1 England

17:35 , Matt Verri

33 mins: Take two.

Just swung in this time, and the whistle goes immediately.

Think he’d already made his mind up that was happening.

Denmark 0-1 England

17:34 , Matt Verri

32 mins: Denmark corner, Guehi sliding in well to make a crucial block. Again a huge chunk of pitch comes up. Surface is terrible.

Denmark have a clever routine, but the whistle goes as they start it.

Sort of ruined the plan now...

Denmark 0-1 England

17:32 , Matt Verri

31 mins: Saka having to go all by himself on the right - very nearly does.

Burns two defenders for pace, but Christensen then slams the door shut.

Denmark 0-1 England

17:31 , Matt Verri

29 mins: Chaos in the England box, as Eriksen gets to a loose ball before Pickford.

Flicked back to Hojlund, who can’t sort his feet out and this time Pickford can claim.

Dan Kilpatrick at Waldstadion

17:29 , Matt Verri

Denmark have responded positively to going behind, with Christian Eriksen letting rip with a couple of blocked shots.

Given how England faded after taking the lead against Serbia, Gareth Southgate will be wary of his side ceding control of another game at 1-0 up.

Denmark 0-1 England

17:29 , Matt Verri

26 mins: Not looking hugely convincing at the back from England. Eriksen is getting plenty of space on the edge of the area.

England break this time, Saka pokes the ball away from Vestergaard and wins the free-kick.

And it’s a yellow card for the Denmark centre-back.

Malik Ouzia at Waldstadion

17:26 , Matt Verri

England are so deep when they're defending the edge of the box. Rice and Alexander-Arnold are both right in on the toes of the centre-halves.

Not sure if it's by design but it's allowing Denmark a little more space than you'd like.

Denmark 0-1 England

17:26 , Matt Verri

24 mins: It’s all Denmark since the goal, England pinned back in their own half.

Eriksen strolls into the area, fires a low ball into the middle and England just about scramble it away.

Denmark 0-1 England

17:24 , Matt Verri

22 mins: How will England respond to taking the lead?

So far they’re happy to sit off and let Denmark have it - Hojbjerg then goes flying in on Rice and takes half the pitch with him.

Malik Ouzia at Waldstadion

17:22 , Matt Verri

Brilliant work from Kyle Walker to take advantage of some dreadful defending.

He almost made a meal of the cross - I think he spotted Foden in space at the back-post at the last moment and got caught in two minds.

But no matter, it falls nicely for Kane and England are ahead.

Denmark 0-1 England

17:21 , Matt Verri

19 mins: That’s really poor from Kristiansen.

Sleeping as he strolled towards the ball, didn’t see Walker coming behind him and the England right-back snuck in.

Just what England needed.

GOAL! Denmark 0-1 England | Harry Kane 18'

17:20 , Matt Verri

ENGLAND IN FRONT!

And Kane is up and running at Euro 2024.

Walker does superbly down the right, cut-back rolls through to Kane and he’s not missing from six yards out.

Denmark 0-0 England

17:19 , Matt Verri

17 mins: England press right up, Rice winning the ball back on the edge of the Denmark area.

Comes to Kane, left-footed strike is charged down by Andersen.

England starting to take charge.

Dan Kilpatrick at Waldstadion

17:17 , Matt Verri

There's an encouraging glimpse of Manchester City's Phil Foden.

England are growing into the game now and starting to knock the ball around confidently.

The Danes, though, have two holding midfielders in Hojbjerg and Hjulmand, and won't be easy to cut through.

Denmark 0-0 England

17:16 , Matt Verri

15 mins: Saka launched out of play... but referee waves play on. Not sure about that.

Been an even start to this match. Both sides solid enough on the ball without doing a huge amount with it.

Denmark 0-0 England

17:15 , Matt Verri

13 mins: Well that’s more like it from Foden.

Walker picks him out on the edge of the box, Foden chops into space and works room for the left-footed strike, but it’s high and wide.

Denmark 0-0 England

17:14 , Matt Verri

12 mins: Offside flag up, but Guehi sharp to get back anyway and stop Hojlund charging through on goal.

Palace defender also took a chunk out of the pitch, followed by a suspicious glare at it.

Denmark 0-0 England

17:13 , Matt Verri

11 mins: Walker is back on, change of studs and he’s good to go.

Pitch is cutting up a fair bit - going to be an issue for both sides to contend with.

Bellingham down after a challenge from Hojbjerg now, but he too is back up on his feet.

Malik Ouzia at Waldstadion

17:11 , Matt Verri

It's been a good start from Denmark. England are more 4-2-3-1 tonight than the 4-3-3 of Sunday and the gap between Jude Bellingham and the pair at the base of midfield is pretty big.

The Danes are picking it up between the lines very easily.

Denmark 0-0 England

17:11 , Matt Verri

9 mins: Trouble for England. Walker has sat down off the ball.

Physios are on. He landed awkwardly on his left ankle when trying to put a cross in, the ball gave way underneath him a few minutes ago.

Denmark 0-0 England

17:10 , Matt Verri

8 mins: Nice pass clipped out to Maehle, he has space on the right.

Trippier out well though and he wins the ball back, earning a cheap free-kick in the process.

Malik Ouzia at Waldstadion

17:08 , Matt Verri

Bukayo Saka's just gesturing to some of his teammates to calm things down a little.

Two or three really sloppy passes in this first five minutes from England.

Denmark 0-0 England

17:07 , Matt Verri

6 mins: Better spell for Denmark, but Guehi puts a stop to it with a strong foot in as the ball is fired into Hojlund.

Kane dropping deeper than he did against Serbia - he’s actually touching the ball here.

Denmark 0-0 England

17:06 , Matt Verri

4 mins: England with all of the possession in the few minutes since that early Denmark chance.

They started well against Serbia, before dropping off. Need to find a way to keep that up for longer this evening.

Malik Ouzia at Waldstadion

17:04 , Matt Verri

Not sure who spun who around at the toss but a change of ends means both sides will be kicking towards their own fans in this first-half.

Denmark 0-0 England

17:03 , Matt Verri

1 min: Quick start from Denmark, they have a shot on target inside 30 seconds.

Hojlund and Hojbjerg combine nicely, before the Spurs midfielder fires straight at Pickford.

KICK-OFF!

17:02 , Matt Verri

We’re up and running in Frankfurt!

Malik Ouzia at Waldstadion

16:59 , Matt Verri

You could hardly hear a word of either anthem in Gelsenkirchen on Sunday because England's was whistled by the Serbian end and then the favour was returned.

Much more respectful from both sets of fans here, which lends to the atmosphere. Belting renditions.

16:59 , Matt Verri

Anthems done, handshakes done. And yes, the flag waving is done.

Time to get up and running in this latest Group C clash.

We’ve spoken a lot about England being able to finish top this evening. Defeat and it will be Denmark in pole position heading into the final set of fixtures.

That would mean England could well face Germany in the last-16. Trouble.

Here we go!

16:55 , Matt Verri

Teams are in the tunnel.

We have the usual flag waving on the pitch, half of Frankfurt on the pitch.

Malik Ouzia at Waldstadion

16:53 , Matt Verri

"F*** off England, it's never coming home" is the chant from the Denmark end.

I also had a nice private airing of it from a group of about ten Danish fans who were literally shaking my tram into town for a bit of grub earlier today

Malik Ouzia at Waldstadion

16:50 , Matt Verri

The closest England flag to the Denmark section away to my left has got "Brentford FC" written on it in huge letters.

Seems a nice way of easing the transition, given it's pretty much Copenhagen-on-Thames down there.

Just the four Bees players in the Danish squad.

Last time they met...

16:47 , Matt Verri

It aged everyone by about 20 years.

Semi-final clash at Euro 2020, it went to extra-time before England edged through to book their place in the final.

Don’t need to speak about what happened after that.

Southgate explains team selection

16:42 , Matt Verri

Gareth Southgate has been speaking ahead of kick-off - no surprise that he’s asked about sticking with Trent Alexander-Arnold in midfield.

"I want him to do the things he's really good at,” the England boss says.

“The range of passes he has, the ability to unlock defences, I think he did a lot well on Sunday and if he can add that final moment he can cause Denmark a lot of problems."

On Trippier continuing, Southgate adds: “[He] did an incredible job, huge part of us keeping a clean sheet. He's a good footballer and has to adapt but he's done that well for us in the past."

The roof is on here in Frankfurt, which is perhaps contributing to what is already a bouncing atmosphere.

My weather app is saying it will remain cloudy but dry for the rest of the day following a heavy downpour yesterday.

The Denmark supporters are a sea of red to my left and there are a phenomenal number of England fans at the other end.

This promises to be a great atmosphere. Let's hope the football itself can match it.

Southgate: We can get more out of Bellingham

16:32 , Matt Verri

Jude Bellingham was sensational in the first-half of England’s win over Serbia, but Gareth Southgate has suggested the midfielder could pace himself a bit better.

“I think he definitely got 90 minutes of running into 45,” the England boss said.

“I think the occasion, the emotion, scoring - I mean he had a phenomenal impact on the game and the great thing is that he is really coachable.

“We can sit and chat and talk things through. We’ve got to get the right balance of not losing what he’s already bringing.

And also, can we sow one or two things — as with all the players, really — that we can refine and get even more [from him]?”

The Denmark end is absolutely packed out already.

England fans are trickling in much more gradually, probably enjoying the sunshine and a pint or six, though you can drink in your seats here.

16:19 , Matt Verri

If there is a concern for Gareth Southgate after the first round of matches at Euro 2024, it might be a tediously familiar one.

Watching Germany metronome Toni Kroos, Spain pair Rodri and Pedri and France’s N’Golo Kante continue to run games, it remains easy to wonder if England will struggle for midfield control at the business end of the tournament, particularly after their patchy second half against Serbia.

Southgate has acknowledged that England do not have a player such as Kroos or Croatia’s Luka Modric, able “to control the rhythm of a game”, and the manager is instead playing to his squad’s strengths by building a team full of energy, vision and explosive power, with Trent Alexander-Arnold continuing next to Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham against Denmark.

Like Serbia, the Danes are set to use a back-five out of possession and Southgate believes Alexander-Arnold can unlock packed defences.

“He’s less likely to be a player who dictates tempo,” the manager said. “What I do see is that range of passing and that ability to open up a defence that might be blocking spaces, defending low.”

Big night for England!

16:12 , Matt Verri

For all the talk after the first match, England could wrap up top spot with time to spare tonight.

It’s not all bad...

Southgate keeps the faith

16:05 , Matt Verri

No surprise that Gareth Southgate has named an unchanged side.

It means Phil Foden and Trent Alexander-Arnold get another chance to impress, with Kieran Trippier continuing at left-back in the absence of Luke Shaw.

As for Denmark, just the one change. Joakim Maehle comes in at left wing-back.

Denmark team news

Starting XI: Schmeichel, Andersen, Christensen, Vestergaard, Maehle, Hjulmand, Hojbjerg, Kristiansen, Eriksen, Wind, Hojlund

Big old cheer from the Denmark end as that Serbian goal goes in and it finishes 1-1.

They clearly think their best chance of qualifying in the top two is by beating the Serbs themselves in the final game and they didn't want Slovenia going onto four points.

Not much from the England end but that's arguably a bigger goal for them in the short term - the chance to wrap up top spot in the group tonight is on.

England team news
