Sweet Hound Puppy With Harry Potter-Inspired Name Will Bring Magic to Her Forever Person's Life
In the world of wizards and The Boy Who Lived, no one is as clever or resourceful as Hermione Granger. She's brave, loyal, and a lover of literature, and she's never afraid to do the right thing. Okay, maybe she can be a bit of a know-it-all, but she can also be trustworthy and caring to those she loves. And so can her name twin, Hermione the dog!
This sweet hound mix is still a puppy, but she's already gone through so much in her young life. Even so, she has a positive and loving spirit that charms everyone she meets at her Tennessee rescue. The only thing that's left is to find her the perfect home! On August 26, the rescue that's caring for her posted another adorable video that shows off her spunky side. Could she be your new BFF?
What a sweetheart! Hermione approaches the woman in the video so gently, but she also isn't afraid to get comfy and have a great time. Like many dogs, she even performs adorable 'contentment ceremonies' when she's feeling happy!
But do you know what I didn't notice at first? The other dog trying to nap in the dog bed while Hermione rolls around! Their opposite moods put a smile on my face, but it's also nice to see that this adoptable dog can get along with any number of canine friends. Some formerly stray dogs can be introverted or reactive because of their past traumas, but this little wizard is ready to love and be loved.
Hermione may be energetic for a while since she's a hound dog puppy, but because of her easygoing nature, her rescuers expect her to grow up into a 'chill lady.' She's already mastered crate training and is making progress on potty training, which is so impressive for a 5-month-old pup! She's a diamond in the 'ruff' to say the least, but it's only a matter of time before someone in the South scoops up this magical little girl.

Since the rise of the Harry Potter movie series in the early 2000s, names like 'Hermione' have become exponentially more popular for muggles' pets and human babies. When it comes to naming furry friends after the Harry Potter series, though, you can choose almost anything!
