Everybody's heard the phrase "Fighting like cats and dogs", and this video that Golden Retriever and Maine Coon Cat Rosie & Frank shared actually proves it's a real thing! Their mom posted a video on Monday, May 27th of the two of them slow motion wrestling. It's the cutest thing you'll see today.

The video shows a montage of Rosie and Frank battling it out inside the family home. Sometimes it looks like Rosie is taking the lead while other times Frank is the clear winner. Make sure your sound is on because the music makes it even funnier!

I could watch Rosie & Frank fight all day! I think the Golden Retriever thinks that she's pretty tough, but that Maine Coon Cat is the one I'd be afraid of! I wish I could hear the two of them, although the music was the perfect accompaniment to the video. @memerod975 agreed, "This music kills me every time!" Other commenters left some pretty funny remarks about the video. @Rosie May pointed out, "That was some ruff stuff!" and @JORGE joked, "Cat going for the jugular!"

Tips For Stopping Cats and Dogs from Fighting

Much like sibling rivalry, pet rivalry is real! It doesn't even have to be a cat and a dog fighting, often times it's cats fighting cats or vice versa. So how do you stop it from happening on a regular basis? Here are some tips for handling pets fighting that might even help Rosie & Frank's mom out.

Before the fight even starts, there's usually some signs that one is about to start. Is there tension between your pets? What's setting them off? Is the fight always over the same thing? Just like with kids you should separate them and put them both into their own spaces (like sending the kids to their rooms!)

If the fight has already started, before you notice something is amiss, sometimes making loud noises to startle them can stop the fight. My grandparents used to have a tin can with pennies inside that they'd shake to stop their dog's barking, and it doubled as a distraction as well.

Distractions are a great way to break up a fight or stop one from happening. One distraction method that works well is toys. Offer up toys (not treats) when the two are starting to tussle. You might have a special toy that you only allow them to have if you're trying to distract them. This might not work for the cat, but most dogs love to play and won't turn the opportunity down.

On the other hand, the two might just be playing. If that's the case, the two are getting along and hanging out together while having fun. Reinforce the positive behavior with a treat. Praise them for being good boys and girls and enjoy the show!
