The summer season is upon us, and Netflix is celebrating the warm weather by delivering an array of exciting new shows to entertain subscribers and tempt them away from the barbecues and gardening.

Netflix users will have a lot to enjoy over the course of the month, but it will also be the month of farewells with three major shows coming to an end —or the beginning of the end— in July like Karate Kid spin-off sequel Cobra Kai, and action period drama Vikings: Valhalla. But never fear, here will also be new films and reality series to enjoy as well.

Here is everything that you need to know about what is coming to Netflix in July 2024.

Cobra Kai, Netflix's megahit sequel to the Karate Kid movies, is reaching the end of the road with its sixth and final season — however the streamer will be extending the farewell speeches by quite a bit as the show's last episodes are being delivered in three parts.

The first part of the final season is coming in July, and it will explores what happens to Cobra Kai in the immediate aftermath of being eliminated from the Valley. The group may be defeated but they won't rest on their laurels as they now want to figure out a way to compete in the world championships of karate: the Sekai Taikai.

Cobra Kai's final season will be split into five-episode parts, with Part 2 arriving in November and Part 3 coming out in 2025.

Nostalgia is a lucrative business at Netflix because another classic that's being given the reboot treatment in the hopes of doing as well as Cobra Kai is the Beverly Hills Cop movies. Eddie Murphy's 1980s classics are being brought back with a new movie that is set 40 years after the first film.

Murphy is joined by his co-stars Judge Reinhold and Bronson Pinchot, as well as new actors to the franchise Kevin Bacon, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylour Paige. The film sees Axel Foley return to Beverly Hills after his daughter Jane's life is in danger, and he must join forces with old friends and new ones in order to protect her.

Another show coming to an end in July is Élite, Netflix's Spanish teen drama that took the world by storm who have become entranced by the trials and tribulations of the characters who study at an elite high school in Spain.

Very little is known about what to expect from season 8 other than Mina El Hammani's Nadia Shanaa will be returning but it is certain to be another intense, thrilling season examining the lives of the privileged teens of Élite.

Netflix's answer to Love Island is back for another season that will challenge the contestants not to act on their desires as things heat up between them. The reality dating show sees several singles come together and be challenged to find love without showing any physical affection to one another, if they kiss, hold hands or even more then they will lose money from the prize pot.

The Vikings have long been a source of fascination amongst historians and storytellers, and the Norsemen inspired the hit TV series Vikings and its prequel Vikings: Valhalla which is ending with its third season this July. The show explores the exploits of explorer Leif Erikson and other famous Vikings like Harald Hardrada as they blaze a trail across Europe.
