If you need something to make you smile, this video that Chinpals posted on Instagram recently is it! Chinpals shares the antics of her five (or more) chinchillas, and they're all too cute! From her adorable Chinchillas playing the drums, to eating, and other funny things like what she shares in this video, they always make me smile! Chinpals' mom decided to hand her Chinchilla Linus random things that he's never held before and then record his reaction to the things. It's too cute!

Chinpals' mom starts by handing him a tiny sign that says, "Let's go!" It just gets better from there. He even refuses to hold one of the things she offers him!

I kept laughing at Linus' adorable little face! I think the funniest thing about Chinpals' video is how uninterested Linus is in anything his mom gives him! What I didn't expect was that people would comment on Linus' reaction to the finger trap. @mackenzieswritingworks said, "Love how he shoved the finger trap away." and @renieandthejetts added, "My Chins don't like finger traps either LOL!" I want to see her hand more random things to Linus!

Should You Consider Getting a Pet Chinchilla?

Before writing about pets over the last couple of years, I knew nothing about chinchillas, except that they're adorable and take dust baths to clean themselves. Do they make good pets? Like with most animals, it depends on who you ask. But overall, it sounds like chinchillas are very low-maintenance pets.

If you're a busy person, a Chinchilla might make a good pet for you because they don't mind being left alone for long periods of time, yet they love showing affection and being around people, too. They do like having a friend, so you may want to consider getting two of them to keep each other company. From everything I read, they're extremely entertaining to watch, and many owners said their favorite thing is how silly chinchillas look when they take their dust baths. I feel like a Chinchilla would be a fun pet!

One thing you'll need to know about Chinchillas is that they love to climb, so you'll need to purchase a cage that allows them to do so and has ledges for them to sit on. It's going to have to be a big cage too, since they're very active. They are extremely clean animals, but it's worth mentioning that they poop a lot (up to 200 times a day!) so you will have to clean their cage and the areas surrounding it daily.

After learning more about them, I don't think a Chinchilla is the right pet for my family. But I'm still going to follow Chinpals because I can't get over how cute these guys are, and I need to see them holding more random things!
